Tuesday Teaser and Trivia
Posted on | March 23, 2010 | 7 Comments
I am still on holiday as the the time of posting but will return later today when posting, reading and commenting should regularly resume.

A few Christmases ago my boyfriend bought me the Book Lovers Edition of Trivial Pursuit and I thought I could virtually play with my fellow book lovers, or at least ask you a weekly literary question. So here goes (if you win then please treat yourself to a slice of pie/cake/pizza/delete where appropriate)…
From the Book Club section:
What Arundhati Roy novel centres on Estha and Rahel, described as “a rare breed of Siamese twins, physically separate, but with joint identities”?

Quote a couple of spoiler-free sentences from the book you’re reading to tempt others.
“Witch Baby was crying. Witch babies never cry, a voice snapped inside, but she couldn’t stop.”

No idea about this question and I’m not going to cheat by using Google to look for the answer.
Hope you’re having a lovely holiday.

The God of Small Things: one of my all-time favourite books <3
And hooray for Witch Baby

The God of Small Things. Roy’s only novel.

Of course, the card should have just said “What Arundhati Roy novel?” (although I’ve heard rumours of a new one…).

I know this one! The God of Small Things. And is she really writing another novel? She seems to be immersed in her her activism the last several years.

Have absolutely no idea. I was going to guess The God of Small Things, but only because I can’t think of any other titles by Roy.

For once I knew the answer, despite not reading the book.
